Alexandra I think you're on to something. Elon will need a payment system for his newly created "X." Why would he not use Square?

If Twitter will compete with Square then Dorsey probably wants out. Dorsey's role might be the reason also that Twitter has not gone seriously into finances in spite of these registrations.

Hey Alexandra,

Thank you for sharing your insight. There is no reason not to think Twitter will be used as a payment platform. I am just wondering which currency will be the leading use case on the platform. I understand the concern of shareholders being disappointed with Elon purchasing Twitter, and selling Tesla shares to purchase Twitter. However, we as shareholders have to see the value Elon has added to Tesla for being loyal shareholders. For example, Optimus could have been a stand alone product/company, but Elon added it under Tesla. The past interview with Ron Baron, Elon was asked, "why should someone invest in Tesla". Elon's answer/non-answer was huge in my eyes. Especially, when Elon stated, "do the math" and silently node his head. If anyone know how huge Tesla can possible be it is Elon. The current calculation everyone is using to value Tesla is not even close to what Tesla will be worth. The good thing about Tesla's price being low is it allows those who had missed the boat earlier to take advantage of the opportunity now.

The dots are not that hard to connect, knowing Elons ambitions für Twitter. If Shift4? We will see.

But thinking further.

Tesla Owner plan, reserve and pay Supercharging via Tesla App. For cars running 200k+ Miles or more, this is an important business ...

But how getting millions users for robotaxis including easy calling and payment, not buying uber, lift etc.

Elon always interconnect between companies and want to grow hyperspeed. Twitter User are number one target group for lots of services. Lets say 100.000.000 potential users is 440$ per user. Buying Twitter is like the biggest advertising or marketing campain ever. :-)

Love it! That's the kind of positive thinking that I enjoy seeing. Right or wrong, it's better than all that pessimism and nastiness we have been exposed to.

TBM? TBM? Now what could that stand for? Twitter Businesses Manager?

Interesting but I don’t think so. Twitter was bought not for the technology but for the network that existed. I think Twitter could easily recreate a payment platform for at least two order of magnitudes less. Elon does need the money to keep Twitter a float during the transition period, Twitter was not profitable. Even with all the cuts, my guess is it still needs further cuts or their ad business to come back to be profitable. Why would someone worth a billion dollars want to take on the COO job at Twitter. I see that position being filled by someone who wants to make their mark on the world.

BUT , he NEVER said "selling $TSLA to support or fund Twitter {the ongoing business.}"

NY Times DID and THEY LIED. you propagated the NY TIMES lie and you are a credible source.

NY Times should be SHOT in the Town Square

AND , another example he NEVER said anything about "a peer to peer pay platform" that was implied and maybe a reasonable extension of what he DID say BUT he didn't say it.

He should commission Shift 4 to do a great job not buy them just yet. Jared is super smart paying for the Spacex trip and getting the Starlink transaction business.

@jpr007 is a huge fan of Shift4 - see his Patreon for stunning detail.

@jpr007 has been a huge supporter and promoter of Shift 4. It is indeed a great Co. and your imaginative leap may have value, but surely he would start by commissioning SHIFT4 - not buying it? I am increasing concerned about commentators translating THEIR interpretation of stuff people DO say into very dangerous MISQUOTES that represent their thoughts about the 'stuff' but not exactly the quotes. Eg Elon did not literally say he was "making Twitter a peer to peer payments platform' BUT it is (maybe) reasonable to interpret exactly what he did say into that. THIS is the dangerous element imo.

I.e Re-quotes are not Re-quotes because they carry a resident subconscious Bias, it may be my own that refuses to see stuff but for example - where did Elon Say he was "selling TSLA stock to save twitter" I now know that you were quoting the NY Times" ( thanks for the DM" ) and their quote was a complete LIE LIE - but you propagated it and you have credibility as a sane and proper person. PROBLEM. BIG PROBLEM. The only safeguard is to believe nothing but...............

Thank you Alexandra…I have been for diversification (common factor seems to be Elon- I find it is hard to bet against him) . However, I do look for highly disruptive investments and usually either Cathie, Elon (or now) Alexandra always appear.

Jared led the Inspiration 4 mission, privately funded by him in 2021. It raised a ton of money for St Jude’s Children’s Hospital. He and his civilian crew were trained by SpaceX. There’s a great Netflix documentary: countdown:Inspiration4 Mission to Space.

He purchased additional missions. Next one is Polaris Dawn. He and His crew are currently training. Scheduled launch on Crew Dragon is next year.

I find him to be a no box, as opposed to outside the box, thinker. Like Elon, he is involved in multiple ventures. I’m a fan. 😊

Disclosure: I own $FOUR After quarterly earnings call, purchased more.
